Why it helps
The first thing your big kid can do that makes the baby happy.
You need
- Their own two hands
- A small light cloth for the big kid (never over the baby)
How
- Sit the big kid close to the baby, where the baby can see their face.
- Hands on: "Where's (their name)?" Hands off: "Peekaboo!"
- Point out the baby watching: "Look, she's looking for you."
Safety: Only the big kid hides. Nothing goes over the baby's face.
Always with a grown-up. Small parts are a choking hazard for children under 3.
